Horseback Riding

The first weekend in June, a group of us from school arranged to drive north to Usingen to go horseback riding. Online we'd found a stable that did small group lessons and trail rides. Five of us went: Regina, Anne, Anna, Katja and I.

I was a bit nervous about it, and unfortunately was still rather a nervous up on a horse. But still it was really cool to do! Regina, Anne and Anna all loved it. Katja and I were a bit more cautious, especially Katja after she fell off.

We had the time beforehand getting the horses ready, then an hour in the ring for a lesson and then an hour trail ride. The lesson was good, except that I really could have used a personal instructor telling me exactly what to do. I didn't even really try trotting because I got scared. The trail ride was better because we just walked, and enjoyed the lovely scenery and weather.

Here is some proof that I made it on a horse!

All ready to go!

Horses ready too!

I actually made it onto the horse, who was named Khan.
