After school today I took the bus into Frankfurt. I had some errands I had to run, and wanted to enjoy a Hort-less afternoon. It was a nice early-Autumn day, prefect for being out for a walk. I took some books and DVDs back to the library, went to the bank, got some groceries... Bought myself some chocolate and a butter croissant as a snack! Yum, so good and healthy :)
As I was wandering around looking in shops I discovered that at Hauptwache there was some sort of fair going on. What a surprise - I swear there is always something going on there! This one looked like a kind of fall fair. The first set of stalls I wandered through were mostly food related. Since it was about 6:30 there were lots of people eating and drinking. I found a neat stall where someone had bee hives that they were showing how they make honey from. They had something that was spinning the hives, that looked like a board. Honey was dripping off of the spinning hives. He then took them and scraped them off. I tried what he was scraping off. It wasn't nearly as sweet as I had expected. The hive part was actually kind of chewy and not sweet.

I then tried to go home, but realized I had just missed a train and had another 25 minutes to wait. So I strolled back through the fair and to the Roßmarkt. There was a lot more of the fair there, including all kinds of farm vehicles and what I believe is an old milk machine of some sort. They also had some farm animals.

| The possible milk machine is the large silver thing on the left of the picture. There were lots more small tractors to the right that I didn't manage to get in the photo. |
