This past Saturday I went on a cruise of the Rhein with a group of school friends. We took the regional commuter train to Assmanshausen (yes, we did get a kick out of the name of the place!), on the Rhein, where the cruise starts. After a lunch being entertained by a hilarious DJ and a climb through some vineyards up to the sign above the town, we headed to the boat.
The boat cruise was 3.5 hours round trip. We sat up on the top, open deck. Quite windy and chilly on the way there, but perfect and sunny on the way back. Here are some photos (all the good ones are from a friend...)
On Sunday I went into the city to meet Cara for a movie. Afterwards it was such a perfect Autumn day that I walked across the city to the Frankfurt West SBahn station. This was about a 45 minute walk, and instead of a 17 minute SBahn ride home, it was only 7 minutes from there.
