Summer Recap

As the weather turns cooler and wetter, I have been going through the photos from being home for the summer. Most of them were taken by my Dad and his fancy new camera. Somehow I can't find any photos from being in Toronto - did I not take any!? Here is a photo recap of how I spent my summer in Vancouver. Yes, it was a busy 4 and a half weeks, just how I like it!

The pine tree we used to climb coming down. All that is left in the photo is a stump just poking out above the roof. Can you spot the man cutting it down?

Biking with Papa

To celebrate Mum and Dad's 30th wedding anniversary Dad and I biked out to New Westminster. Mum took the bus and skytrain out to meet us for dinner. This photo was taken at exactly the time their ceremony ended. Can't remember what time that was ... around 4 pm.

On the way home - necessary break half way up the 8th avenue hill for some food

More celebrations, after Christie and Robert arrived home

Celebrating their 30th anniversary - with cake after some sushi! Minus Pat and Gerry and Uncle Glenn who had already left to head back to Gibsons.

Christie came home from Toronto for a weekend. Sunday morning we made it out to the Union Street market on our bikes.

Family photo! After eating a lot of Indian food.

A more natural family photo. Dad with the camera, Robert with the phone, and Mum, Christie and I being silly :)

The other members of the family

Dad, Robert and I out kayaking with Gerry in Gibsons

A quick visit from Chaplin and Lori, and friends. Everyone had a good time trying out Dad's Theramin. After watching a youtube video on how to play it everyone had a try with their own technique.

Today was wet. In order to for my kids to run off some energy, I gave up my break and stood outside under an umbrella as they ran around getting wet. It paid off though because I had a great day with them. They are a challenging class, but I think they have lots of rewards. Now it's off to bed and up early again - living in Frankfurt now means that I have an hour commute, not just 10 minutes!
