Here are some photos to update you on what I've been up to:
My new garden, which is taking up almost half my desk! I have separated my African violet into 5 different pots, plus planted 2 more leaves. I also have a "strawberry in a bag" plant that a fiend gave me. I have my fingers crossed for some flowers soon!
Softball is over for the season now. From the time I got back in August until about 2 weeks ago I have been practicing twice a week and having games, etc, every weekend. I am slowly getting better and was happy when one of our coaches finally noticed that I can actually bat. Now if only I could stop messing up in games!! One more week off and then we're into our winter training.
The photos above are actually from a sample project I made for my kids. In class we are making projects on our free time. They had to choose something they like to do and bring in photos. We have written about them, made posters and will now do presentations this week. It's been fun teaching them about softball!
Last weekend, I went to Wiesbaden with Regina to the ballet. They have a beautiful theatre - the Staatstheater. Regina had told me we were seeing Shakespeare, however the first part turned out to be from Psycho!! It was different ... very modern. The second part I really enjoyed, but have no clue what it was or what was suppose to be happening.
Yesterday (Saturday) I had to work from 11-2. We had an open house so I was in the library. The time went really quickly because for the first time I actually had some nice conversations with parents, grandparents, etc. Plus the library is really looking good in my opinion!!
Sunday afternoon walk, just down my street and over the bridge :) though the bridge is still under repairs and I am not quite sure if we should have been on it ... I was just following all of the other people.
Down the river and then back over another bridge into Sachsenhausen. This time with a view back towards Frankfurt. I swear there are more tower buildings going up every time I look! I love my new location and being able to walk through the city and along the river so easily.
The other nice thing is being so close to friends. On Friday night I did some shopping with one friend, then a group of us got together last night for pizzas and tonight I am going to another friend's house to finally see her pictures from her summer trip to Peru. I really can't complain :)
