Nürnberg and Bayreuth - Christmas Markets!

I'm now back in Frankfurt, after a lovely three week Christmas holiday back home. Which means I now have the time, but not the energy to update all my photos. I will try and post some from home soon!

Teresa and I went on another trip in December. We took the train to Nuremberg for a night, and from there spent an afternoon in Bayreuth. We went to Bayreuth to visit my cousin Robert, who lives there. We had a nice afternoon wandering through the town and Christmas market there.

The famous Festspielhaus, where the choir from my school performed last summer in the big Wagner festival

We spent the night in Nuremberg. Most of our time there was spent at the huge Christmas market, but we also managed to do a bit of city sight seeing, at least made it up to the castle. The market was amazing. It was really well laid out, so even though it was so busy, you could still get around. Unlike the one in Frankfurt where sometimes it is a challenge just to move!

We rode on the "Pferdepost"! They had a bunch of old Deutsche Post carriages giving short rides.

Will try and post some photos from Christmas soon! Now I am off to bed so I have enough energy to keep up with 22 grade 1s tomorrow :)
