Is spring coming?

We have been so lucky in Frankfurt lately with the weather. Today was low teens and sunny - I just wanted to go outside instead of teaching! I have managed to get out on my newly fixed up bike a few times. Though as soon as I get my bike out the clouds seen to roll in. Last weekend I rode into the city centre, just as it started to rain. I am really excited to ride further. I am even thinking of going out this weekend and buying some rain bike gear so I'm able to ride in all weather. Took my bike to school one day this week. Here was the view from Steinbach:

Then coming home I rode to Schweizerplatz (just past my house) to run some errands. Locked up my bike next to this:

At least this time I locked up my bike someone didn't lock there's up next to it and manage to put their lock around my bike as well, as happened earlier. Luckily it was just around the seat and I could squeeze the lock over. 

The last two weeks have been very exciting with the Olympics. We have been doing a lot of work in my class surrounding that theme. My favourite I think was having the kids maintain a medal count in the class. They come in each morning and help update it. They were so excited when Germany was on top for so long.
