Flew to Moscow Wednesday evening (got their early early Thursday morning) and came back Sunday night. Had a great time there, saw lots of things! Even got to experience Victory Day on Thursday. This is a big Russian military celebration and remembrance day. I got to go to their big military parade, see some fireworks, as well as see some of the other things going on throughout the city.
Here are a few pictures of the weekend. More to come!
| My view of the fly over before the parade |
They had about a dozen groups of planes, ending with this display of the Russian flag. Pretty impressive, however I did not appreciate being so crowded and not really being able to see any of the parade. I watched most of it on someone else's cell phone they were using to film ...
| St. Basil's Cathedral!! One of my highlights, especially inside |
More to come on the weekend - another long weekend, so lots of time to write! And waste... :)
