Stoffmarkt Holland
Another quick post about what I did last Sunday. Thanks to the heads-up from a colleague, I went to Lindleystrasse in Frankfurt, where the flea market is held every other Saturday. Sunday however was one of the three yearly visits of the Stoffmarkt Holland fabric market. It was quite the experience. There were about 100 stalls piled high with bolts of fabric. They had every kind of fabric I could imagine, in beautiful colours and prints. I was excited to see tons of different Owl prints! After about 45 minutes I had to leave or I would have had no money left. I came home with four different fabrics, all plain cotton. A blue one with flowers, a yellow one with flowers for Christie, a cute pink patchwork like print with animals for some little girls, and an owl print to make pillow covers for my classroom book corner. Now I just have to take it all home to where my sewing machine is!
